“Why HEP Is Now My Secret Weapon”

I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to be next to the river this past weekend. So my family and I decided to pack up and spend a few relaxing days camping and fishing at Riverlake on the Vaal River.

This time, I had my sights set on landing some bigger fish, so I decided to experiment mpre with the new HEP Powder from Magic Baits.

After reading up on it on the Magic Baits Facebook group and website, I learned that HEP helps attract and hold larger fish — and I was eager to put that to the test.

I went with two combos, both boosted with HEP powder.

🎣 On my first rod, I used Zircon Floating Gems and White Marble Floating Gems, coating both hooks generously in Wild Garlic HEP Powder.

🎣 My second rod featured Banana X Floaties and Gag Floaties, all dipped in Banana Jamaica HEP Powder.

For something different, I also targeted yellowfish using crabs soaked in Gag Muti — and it paid off! I landed a beautiful Largemouth Yellowfish, along with a few barbel between 3.5 kg and 5.5 kg.

The carp I caught were noticeably bigger than usual, and I’m convinced the HEP powder made the difference.

Mental note to myself: from now on, HEP is officially part of my go-to setup for every fishing trip.
