One of those sessions I won’t forget

On the 19th of September 2025, I spent the day at Flora Country Ranch Adventures in Evander Dam (Peet Hattingh) from 08:00 until 15:00. It turned into one of those sessions I won’t forget.
I started out with my usual mix of feed – a 50/50 blend of Popcorn Feed and Heavyweight Feed, boosted with Cypri Liquid Carp Food Feed Booster.
I rigged up with Wizard quick set nr. 3 hooks, setting my left rod with a Large Hard FBI Floatie on the top hook, backed by Caramel X Sweetdough, and a Large Hard Banana X Floatie on the bottom, also with Caramel X Sweetdough as backing. For extra attraction, I added 4×4 Spray and Assassin Muti on the bomb.
On the right rod, I went with Small Soft Warrior Floaties on both hooks, finishing the bomb off with Pearl Liquid Gems and Brush Boldip. A bit later, I decided to switch things up on the left rod, swapping over to Small Soft HLX Floaties on both hooks, paired with Jessica Boldip and Carma Boldip on the bomb.
The barbel were definitely awake and feeding hard. Anything I put in front of them got taken, and I managed to land three of them – one of which was a real beauty pushing close to 10kg (wish I had a scale with me!).
After that, I knew I had to make some fine adjustments to get the carp interested again.
Once I figured out the right combo, it was game on – only carp after that, and I ended the day with 10 beautiful carp in total.
It was an incredible day on the water, and once again Magic Baits made all the difference. Couldn’t be happier with the results!
