I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again — HEP (Hydrolysed Enzymatic Protein) is a must in every fishing kit. At every venue I’ve fished so far, the results have been nothing short of top class, and Klipdrift was no different.
If you’re not packing HEP Powder and the SloLeak Magic Potion, then you’re honestly missing out — because quality bait truly does catch quality fish.
For this session, I went in with a solid ground feed: a mix of Magic Baits Popcorn Fine Feed blended with Heavyweight Feed and boosted with Cypri Liquid Carp Food Feed Booster.
On the hook, I kept it classic but deadly effective — a cut MZ mealie pip with a large MZ floatie, coated in Rich Corn HEP Powder, drenched with Rich Corn SloLeak Magic Potion, and finished off with a touch of Carma Ball Dip on the feed ball.
The presentation was spot-on, and it didn’t take long before the rod came alive.
Every bite proved once again why I trust this combination — consistent, confident, and rewarding. Klipdrift Dam just reinforced my belief: if you’re serious about putting fish on the mat, you simply can’t go without HEP.
