I had a great social session at Vaaldam this past weekend, fishing at Lepelkop 2. Over the three days, I managed to land 45 fish – I didn’t bother weighing them, since it was all about enjoying the fishing and testing out some new combinations.

Lately, I’ve been using BGA Liquid Carp Food Feed Booster more and more, and it’s proving to be a real winner at Vaaldam. I prepared my Magic Baits Heavyweight Feed with it, and the results spoke for themselves.

For my setups, both of my successful combinations included the SloLeak Magic Potions, which I’ve really grown to trust:

Rod 1: Plain White Small Hard Floaties with a Plain White Sweet Dough. On the mielie bomb I used Vampire Boldip and Wild Garlic SloLeak.

Rod 2: Banana X Large Hard Floaties with a Plain White Sweet Dough, with Tacky TCP SloLeak on the bomb.

For the rigs, I built them with Wizard Quick Set Hooks (size 2) and finished them off with Wizard Medium Gummy Stops.

It was a fantastic weekend – relaxed, good company, and the confidence that the Magic Baits combinations, especially with the BGA Feed Booster and SloLeak Potions, are making a real difference.
