Old Meets New: 4×4 Boldip + Gourmet SloLeak Magic at the Vaal

Last weekend, I made my way to Oranjeville for a fishing trip at “Lekker Plekkie,” and what a blast it was. As soon as I arrived, I noticed the fish were active around 90–100 meters out.

I didn’t waste a second—my heavyweight popcorn feed went straight into the mix with Cypri Liquid Carp Food Feed Booster.

I quickly set up my gear, eager to get those rods in the water. For my hookbait, I went with Clove Sluggers, backed with a sweet white dough.

I’ve always loved fishing with Sluggers—they’re tough, rubbery, and float just right.

From experience, I know they stick to the hook even when carp are feeding aggressively and knocking everything else off.

For the mealiebomb on the bottom, I chose Gourmet Spice SloLeak Magic Potion combined with 4×4 Boldip. The carp seemed to absolutely devour it—it was incredible to watch!
