Behind the Name
The name Bluegum comes directly from the Bluegum tree (Eucalyptus), well-known across South Africa for its tall stature, strength, and the distinctive aroma of its leaves. Just like the tree itself, the flavour carries a natural freshness and resilience.
The honey base in this product ties back to the sweet nectar bees often gather from the blossoms of Bluegum trees, while the hint of eucalyptus oil captures the tree’s unique scent and character. Blue Gum is a muti that will work at any venue and deliver fish. The eucalyptus honey flavour is something no carp can resist.
As many of you already know, a Honey Slugger with an SWD, dipped in Blue Gum muti on the hook, with Blue Gum and a good streak of MZ on the feed ball, is one of my favourite combos to fish with.
