The floating Gems act as a dietary supplement of Sodium Chloride which reduces the energy to search for this supplement in their natural food sources and frees up the energy.

This extra energy allows the fish to go into a feeding frenzy.Only the best flavors and attractants are implemented in the manufacturing process. To trigger the food signaling senses we added a secret sweetener.

Flavour of the Month, Fire Opal, Dylan Cloete, August 2024

Magic Baits Fire Opal

Since the beginning of anyone’s memory of fishing, the one flavor that everyone can remember is Curry. It’s a flavor that has always worked everywhere and it’s a flavor that will continue to work everywhere as long as carp swim in our waters. It is commonly referred to as an old school bait.

Magic Baits Fire Opal

Magic Baits produces a product that is flavoured with Curry; it is called Fire Opal. I use Fire Opal in many of my sessions, and man, it performed amazingly. Fishing the Sand River for the first time, I decided to use Fire Opal and Golden Agate as a combo.

The day started off very slow, but that changed the moment I got a spot fed with Magic Baits heavyweight feed. I landed my Mirror PB and a beautiful common on Fire Opal, and I must say I’ve been neglecting the flavor for far too long.

Magic Baits Fire Opal

Fire Opal will be on one of my rods for the rest of the month, and I can’t wait to see what I land. I need to get to my closest Magic Baits retailer a.s.a.p. I have a feeling I’m gonna need a lot more Fire Opal.

As I sat by the bank, the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden hue across the water’s surface. The anticipation of the catch excited me; there’s something almost magical about the simplicity of fishing.

Each time I cast my line, I was reminded of the countless trips my father took me on during my childhood, where the scent of freshly prepared curry wafted through our campsite. It held a nostalgic weight, one that seemed to whisper secrets of the carp lurking beneath the surface.

In that moment, I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me; Fire Opal wasn’t just another bait—it represented memories, lessons learned, and the bond shared over a shared passion for fishing.

Every fish caught was a testament to this legacy and a reminder of why I keep coming back to the water. The combination of Fire Opal and Golden Agate proved to be an effective strategy; it played on the carp’s natural instincts, turning what would have been an ordinary day into one filled with excitement and joy.

Magic Baits Fire Opal

As I meticulously prepared my setup for the next outing, a sense of determination grew within me. I envisioned the upcoming sessions, the thrill of feeling that decisive tug on the line, and the sight of a mirror glistening beneath the sun. It was a call to action.

I knew I had to stock up on Fire Opal because the connection I felt with it was undeniable.

This flavor had transcended mere bait; it had become a symbol of adventure and potential. The memories to be made on the water this month were calling, and I was ready to answer.

I couldn’t wait to head to the Magic Baits retailer and explore even more possibilities that lay ahead, waiting to unfold with every cast of my line.

Magic Baits Floating Gems VS Medal Hookbaits

Magic Baits Floating Gems VS Medals

Magic Baits Floating Gems are innovative, high-visibility baits made from Sodium Chloride, commonly known as salt.

Magic Baits Medals

This formulation serves a dual purpose: it maintains the osmotic balance required by freshwater fish and acts as a dietary supplement, thereby reducing the energy fish expend to search for this essential nutrient in their natural food sources. As a result, fish can conserve energy and enter a feeding frenzy more readily.

Magic Baits Medals

Several key features distinguish the Floating Gems from Magic Baits Medals. Firstly, the Gems are highly porous, a trait that facilitates prolonged flavor leakage, maximizing their attraction to fish. Secondly, these baits are sweetened with a secret ingredient that enhances their appeal and palatability, stimulating the fish’s food detection senses.

My Green Goblin Combination, Dylan Cloete

Magic Baits Green Goblin Combination

Introducing my GREEN GOBLIN Combination featuring Onyx and Emerald (Liquid Gems & Floating Gems).

Magic Baits Green Goblin Combination

If you’re seeking unparalleled fishing excitement, this combo deserves a spot in your tackle box. Recently, I landed a stunning 9.5kg fish along with numerous smaller catches using this setup, which also helped me break my personal best. The Liquid Gems are incredibly effective and easily attract fish in the water.

Magic Baits Green Goblin Combination

It’s well-known that shrimp and garlic are irresistible to carp, so combining them is a clever strategy. The Onyx (Garlic) Gems are highly pungent, requiring only a small amount to be effective. On the other hand, the Emerald (Shrimp) Gems feature a distinctive aroma that carp find hard to resist.

I can also envision this pairing working well with Riverstone, as well as Zircon and Pearl.

Catch of a lifetime, Werner Haman

Magic Baits Onyx

The Largemouth Yellowfish (Labeobarbus kimberleyensis) is one of the most sought-after species among anglers. This fish thrives in deep pools and slow-moving sections of large rivers, particularly within the Orange and Vaal River systems.

Magic Baits Onyx

As apex predators, they are commonly found near structures such as weirs and dams, where abundant aquatic vegetation and overhanging foliage contribute to their habitat.

Magic Baits Onyx

Werner Haman recently had the opportunity to catch one of these coveted fish during his outing at Fisherman’s Hangout on the Vaaldam.

Magic Baits Onyx

He skillfully used an Onyx Floating Gem as his hookbait, complemented by Onyx Liquid Gem on the ball.

Congratulations to him on securing the catch of a lifetime!
