On Saturday, the 27th of September 2025, I took part in the BHK KK event at Krugersdrift Koppe, fishing from 7:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon. The weather was far from friendly – it rained steadily the entire day with not a single ray of sunshine. The water was murky and the conditions made things very tricky.

Just a few days earlier, on Wednesday, I had fished the venue and managed to land quite a few fish. That gave me confidence in my combinations, so I stuck to them. Still, with the tough conditions, it was a real challenge to get the fish interested.

I was pegged at number 11, but unfortunately, that spot had a lot of snags. It cost me several fish during the session. On my left rod, I worked 75m out with PB and Crimson liquid gems as dips, paired with Beast, Honey Glow, and Cinnamon X floats. On the right rod, I pushed out to 85m, fishing Vampire Candy VRM with Sweetroot and Cariba worm floats.

The dam was sitting at 92% capacity, and despite the difficulties and the snags, I managed to land four carp. I lost a few along the way, but that’s fishing.

A big thank you once again to Magic Baits for their outstanding products that made it possible to put fish on the mat under such tough conditions.
