Venue: Klipdrift dam (Die Boer se grond)

We went to Klipdrift on a day session to see a few policemen pull tight. It was school holidays and the kids were up early and super excited for the day’s fishing. It was just after 6 when we got there and there were already a few people already busy fishing at the resort.

We found a spot and immediately started packing when we saw the fish were active about 70-80m in front of us. Magic Baits Popcorn &  Heavyweight Feed was mixed up and about 2 sprays of Cypri Liquid Carp Food Feeder Booster added for that extra smell in the water.

The first one was caught after 8 minutes and things looked promising with my neighbor on my left, Joshua Van Heerden, who also caught a few fish early.

Baits: The bait on one of my rods was a White Warrior soft bleeders Floaties with a Lang Custard Chooby’s backing and Bazaar curry & Wild berry SLOleaks, the other rod I have a Warrior pit with a Lang Banana X Chooby’s backing and Paradise Pine SLOleak on the boom with Tacky Tcp.

The kids fished a small worm with a backing with the SLOleak range.

It was one successful day’s fishing where we caught +- 25 carp for the time we were there. The fish kept everyone busy and everyone enjoyed it from young to old.
