On Saturday, 20 September 2025, I had the privilege of fishing for the Central Gauteng Junior Team at the All TVL Bank Angling Competition, held at Flamingo Bay, Vaal Dam.

The day was far from easy. With so many anglers on the bank, the pressure on the water was intense, and the fish were very cautious. Every bite was a challenge, and patience was the key.

In the end, I managed to land two carp, with a combined weight of 1.89 kg.

Even though it was a tough day, I was grateful to put fish on the bank and contribute to my team’s efforts.
