The Magic Baits Sweetdough Bait is built on the fresh dough concept — traditionally made from cake flour, but now available as a ready-made, pre-coloured, flavoured, and preserved dough bait.

Inspired by classic carp dough recipes, Magic Baits combines cake flour, specialized binding and thinning agents, and our signature flavour blends to produce a soft, pliable bait that’s easy to use and highly attractive to fish. Each batch is carefully preserved, ensuring a minimum shelf life of two years across the entire Sweetdough range.

In short, Sweetdough is a soft, sweet, ready-to-use carp bait designed for both social and competitive angling. Its dough-like texture makes it easy to mould around a hook or bait spring. When used on a spring, we recommend shorter sessions (up to ±4 hours per cast), as the soft dough is designed to slowly release flavour and scent into the water — creating a fast-attract feeding signal that draws carp in quickly.

Because it’s fully preserved, Sweetdough requires no refrigeration and can be stored directly in your tackle box — always ready for the next session.

While Sweetdough performs exceptionally well on its own as a hookbait, many anglers achieve outstanding results by combining it with other baits — for example, pairing it with floaties or trimmed mealies as a backing for contrast and buoyancy.
